On February 13, 2025, the Business Registration Department (now the Business Registration and Corporate Finance Department under the Department of Finance) of Hanoi City issued Notification No. 207/TB-ĐKKD, requiring businesses operating in the area to promptly complete the procedures for updating and supplementing the personal data of the legal representative and registering the enterprise's electronic identification account before June 30, 2025. The details are as follows:
1. Supplementary Registration and Update of Citizen ID Information with Embedded Chip
The legal representative of the enterprise, capital contributors, or owners of private enterprises operating in Hanoi who have not updated their citizen ID information with the embedded chip must complete the supplementary registration procedure in the National Business Registration Database in accordance with legal regulations.
2. Registering the Enterprise’s Electronic Identification Account
The individual legal representative of the enterprise should log in to the Level 2 identification account on the National Identification Application VneID, click on the "Organizational Identification" section to change the role to an organization, follow the instructions to enter information, and submit a request for the enterprise's electronic identification account.
Important Notice:
After the deadline of June 30, 2025, if the enterprise does not complete the procedures for updating and supplementing the personal data of the legal representative and registering the electronic identification account for the enterprise, according to the provisions of the 2023 Citizen ID Law, the personal data of the legal representative and the enterprise's data will not be synchronized and linked with the National Population Database, national databases, specialized databases, national data centers, public service portals, and the administrative procedure resolution information systems. Therefore, resolving administrative procedures, tax procedures, and other transactions of the enterprise will be faced difficulties and may be rejected if the enterprise does not have the electronic identification account and the personal data of the legal representative is not synchronized in the National Data System.
