On February 8, 2023, the Ministry of Construction issued Decision No. 62/QD-BXD announcing the national construction price index in 2022 ("Decision 62"). The decision took effect from its issuance date.
The construction price index is determined and published annually by the Ministry of Construction. Construction price index is an indicator reflecting the fluctuation of construction prices over time, as a basis for determination and preliminary adjustment of total construction investment, total construction estimation, construction package prices, construction contract prices, conversion of construction investment capital and management of construction investment costs.
The construction price index is determined on the basis of input cost factors as announced by local Construction Departments, including:
- Prices of construction materials,
- Unit price of construction workers,
- Prices of machine shifts and construction equipment.
