From August 2022, various remarkable new policies for businesses shall come into force, specifically as follows:
Deposit being withdrawn prematurely still enjoy high interest
Pursuant to Circular No. 04/2022/TT-NHNN, from August 1, 2022, in case of premature deposit withdrawal in part/in whole, the maximum interest rate equal to its lowest interest rate of demand deposits based on the type of client and/or currency of the deposit when such client withdraws it shall still be applicable.

New mobile number must be authenticated with the Citizen Identification Database
According to Notice No. 174/TB-VPCP of the Government Office dated 15/6/2022, from August 1, 2022, newly arising mobile numbers must be authenticated with the National Citizen Identification Database in order to improve the efficiency of management and settlement of the situation of junk SIM use.
Supplementation of charges for the issuance of architectural practice certificates
Under Circular No. 38/2022/TT-BTC stipulating the amount, collection and payment regime of charges for issuing construction licenses and architectural practice certificates, from August 8, 2022, charges for the issuance of architectural practice certificates shall be applied as follows:
- Charge for the first issuance and conversion: 300,000 VND/certificate.
- Charge for re-issuance, renewal and recognition of certificates is equal to 50% of the charge as aforementioned: 150,000 VND/certificate.
In addition, this Circular also stipulated the charges for obtaining a certificate of capacity for construction activities for organizations and/or individuals.

Publication of information on real estate, real estate projects and real estate transfer tax on the Portal of the information system on housing and real estate market
Under Decree No. 44/2022/ND-CP, from August 15, 2022, information and data must be shared online on the Portal of the information system on housing and real estate market in Vietnam at website address: http://www.batdongsan.xaydung.gov.vn.
In order to make information public and transparent, Decree 44/2022/ND-CP supplemented numerous requirements for real estate project investors in providing legal documents on real estate projects and products eligible for trading during the reporting period to the Department of Construction

Supplement and increase fines for many violations of the law on environmental protection
In accordance with Decree 45/2022/ND-CP, from August 25, 2022, a series of environmental protection sanctions have been added to businesses, individuals and households, specifically the ones corresponding to the new violations supplemented under the 2020 Law on Environmental Protection, such as:
For enterprises: (1) Failure of registration for an environment or not for an environmental license; (2) Failure of submission of the “written notice of completion of environmental protection works” to the competent authority; (3) Failure of publication of the approved environmental impact assessment report; (4) Failure of preliminary treatment of wastewater; etc.
For individuals and households: (1) Failure of classification of domestic solid waste as prescribed; and (2) Outdoor burning of plant-originated by-products near residential areas, airports, and major traffic routes.
In addition, Decree 45/2022/ND-CP also stipulated towards sharply increasing the fine for a number of acts causing environmental pollution.
