On April 17, 2024, the Government Office issued Notification No. 168/TB-VPCP on the conclusions of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha at the meeting on implementing documents detailing the implementation of the Law Land 2024. At the meeting, reports from the ministries showed that the promulgation of the Land Law 2024’s guiding documents 05 months earlier is feasible.
Accordingly, the Deputy Prime Minister made some notable requests as follows:
+ Before May 10, 2024, relevant Ministries must complete the draft Decree guiding the Land Law 2023 to submit to the Government, and the Government is responsible for consideration and decision within 7 days according to regulations.
+ Before April 25, 2024, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and the Ministry of Construction shall prepare a dossier requesting the development of a draft Resolution to submit to the National Assembly to allow adjustments to the provisions on early implementation of the Laws on Land, Housing, Real Estate Business, then send to the Ministry of Justice for appraisal and submit to the Government for consideration and decision according to regulations.
The content adjusting the provisions on early enforcement of the above Laws will be added to the Program of the 7th session of the National Assembly.
Thus, according to this plan, the Laws on Land, Housing, and Real Estate Business may officially take effect from August 1, 2024, 5 months earlier than current regulations (01 /January 2025). Accelerating the effective date of legal documents is expected by the Government, the business community and people, to remove obstacles and promote a strong recovery of the real estate market.
Notification No. 168/TB-VPCP takes effect from the date of issuance.
