On March 13, 2024, the Ministry of Construction issued Decision No. 167/QD-BXD announcing the Construction Price Index for the year 2023 ("Decision 167").
The Construction Price Index is determined and announced annually by the Ministry of Construction. It reflects the fluctuation of construction prices over time and serves as a basis for determining and adjusting preliminary estimates of total construction investment, construction budgets, bid package prices, contract prices, conversion of construction investment capital, and construction investment cost management.
The Construction Price Index is determined based on input cost factors published by local Construction Departments, including:
- Prices of construction materials;
- Construction labor rates;
- Prices of machinery and equipment for construction.
