According to Decree 80, small and medium enterprises (“SMEs”) will enjoy preferential policies and assistance from the Government. On that basis, the Ministry of Planning and Investment has just adopted Circular No. 06/2022/TT-BKHĐT (“Circular 06”) specifying assistance policies for SMEs.
Circular 06 provided a number of outstanding support policies, such as:
1. Technology assistance (assistance in costs for renting and buying digital transformation solutions) and consultancy
2. Assistance in human resource development (Through basic and advanced business administration courses in both direct and online forms).
3. Assistance for startups:
- Assistance in the cost of participation in advanced training courses in Vietnam by employees of enterprises regarding development, commercialization of products; development of e-commerce; capital raising; market development; connection of startup network and other content according to the needs of start-up SMEs.
- Assistance in maintaining accounts on e-commerce platforms.
- Assistance in participating in international startup competitions.
4. Assistance for SMEs participating in industry clusters and value chains
- In-company training assistance.
- Assistance in participating in domestic and foreign training courses for the students of SMEs.
- Assistance in maintaining accounts on e-commerce platforms for SMEs.
